Swimming Program

The Electric Eels Swimming Club Inc. is a community-oriented swimming club based at Zillmere State School which offers a year round comprehensive swimming program for families resident in the northern suburbs of Brisbane from Aspley to Zillmere.

The program is available to all community members who wish to learn to swim safely and to discover the joy of movement in water. The program focusses on safety first for all learners and the development of efficient swimming technique for people who swim for personal health or love the challenge associated with competing at their chosen level in swimming, triathlon, surf life saving or water polo events.

Managed by highly regarded local coach Gary Conomos and delivered by highly qualified swimming teachers and coaches the program provides a pathway to enjoyable participation in aquatic sport and recreation activities.

Session Times

Of foremost concern regarding the operation of the Electric Eels Swimming Program is the effectiveness of each session. It is important to us to provide all children with the maximum opportunity to develop efficient swimming movements and enjoy their growing confidence in and mastery of their swimming strokes. To achieve a high standard of program delivery each child is placed in a group which will enable them to progress at a comfortable pace.

Also of concern is the capacity to provide places for family members at session times which are convenient for families. While it is not always possible to achieve the preferred times for each family member families can be assured that every effort will be made to provide places at the preferred times which they have nominated.

To assist in achieving the best possible arrangements for each family and to enable the efficient management of the program please contact Paula at bookings@electriceels.org.au

Once again this term the members of the coaching team and the Electric Eels Swimming Club Management Committee are looking forward to providing your family with high standard coaching and competition programs and boosting the reputation of the Electric Eels Swimming Club in the local community.
